JAC Partners focuses on existing multifamily communities that have stable operating metrics with strong current cash flow in solid secondary suburban markets. We invest in communities that typically attract renters by necessity and tend to be of the vintage that has been neglected and mismanaged.
We target markets primarily in the southeast that have stable and or improving economies and ideally in the path of new development. JAC Partners ensures there’s a clear and attainable strategy to enhance value through repositioning the asset through improving management and providing physical and cosmetic improvements.
JAC Partners has a disciplined investment approach that utilizes thorough due diligence with conservative underwriting that does not rely on market expansion. We enhance value organically by efficiently growing revenues and effectively managing expenses to generate a consistent attractive risk adjusted return.
Meet Our Team
Throughout our respective careers, JAC Partners’ team has collectively participated in billions of dollars worth of real estate investments, financing’s, acquisitions and management. We are a collaboration of highly skilled commercial real estate professionals with 75 years of combined experience. Our multi-disciplinary team works integrally with other investment groups to source, underwrite and structure investments in commercial real estate assets.
Jeffrey Carus
Managing Partner
Jeffrey Carus founded JAC Partners in 2009 and is the managing partner of the firm. He is a member of the investment committee and is primarily responsible for the overall investment strategy, business development and capital formation. He oversees the company’s operations, fund raising, investor relations and asset management.
Mr. Carus holds a B.S. in Business Administration in Accounting from Seton Hall University and a Master’s of Science in Real Estate Finance & Development from New York University.
Mr. Carus currently serves as a director on the board of a publicly listed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), UMH Properties, Inc. (NYSE: “UMH”), where he is a member of the Audit and Compensation committees.
Addy Sandler
Advisor
Addy Sandler is a member of the investment committee and an advisor at JAC Partners supporting private investor fund raising, marketing and operations.
Mr. Sandler holds a B.A. in Computer Science and B.A. Special Interdisciplinary Honors Curriculum from Hunter College of the City University of New York. Mr. Sandler also served in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) as an Intelligence Officer (Lieutenant 1st class) in the Armed Corps.
Mr. Sandler is CEO of The Mako Group, a leading importer and distributor of sports and outdoor gear and is an independent consultant with the Gerson Lehrman Group
Kenneth Weber
Advisor
Kenneth Weber is a member of the investment committee and an advisor at JAC Partners providing expertise in real estate underwriting, credit risk analysis and loan structuring.
Mr. Weber holds a B.A in Economics and Finance from the State University of New York at Albany and a Master’s of Science in Real Estate Finance from New York University.
Mr. Weber is a Director at Fannie Mae, analyzing risk for performing and non-performing loans and oversees loan and underwriting compliance with its lenders and partners.
Zev Klasewitz
Advisor
Zev Klasewitz is a member of the investment committee and advisor at JAC Partners providing expertise in real estate acquisitions, structuring and capital markets.
Mr. Klasewitz holds a B.A. in Business Administration & Finance from California State University, Fullerton and Master’s of Science in Real Estate Finance from New York University.
Mr. Klasewitz is the head of ZK Development Consulting, providing structuring, underwriting and capital markets services to developers.
